Abeku Jackson has won the men’s 100 meters butterfly swimming heat 2 by a time of 53.39 seconds at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
However, the Ghanaian swimmer has fallen short of semifinals qualification in the event by 2 seconds on Thursday with a new national record time.

Meanwhile, Egyptian swimmer Youssef Ramadan advanced to the semifinals after placing 14th overall with a time of 51.67 out of the preliminary heats. Ramadan finished second in his respective heat.
