Zambia duo of Emmanuel Banda and Edward Chilufya are unlikely to be available for tomorrow’s 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Equatorial Guinea.
This is because of visa hitches the Djurgadens midfielders are facing after being roped into the Chipolopolo squad for the doubleheader.
Swedish and Zambian reports say the two players are still in Stockholm and wouldn’t not reach Malabo in time for the game.
Banda, 24, and Chilufya, 24, were expected to fly straight into Malabo but they were denied entry visas.
Their failure to connect to Equatorial Guinea will be a blow to interim coach Beston Chambeshi who has already lost skipper Enock Mwepu through injury.
It is unknown whether the duo will be available for the return fixture three days later in Zambia.
The Zambia team is expected to arrive in Malabo this afternoon ahead of the game tomorrow.
The Chipolopolo won 2-1 away against Mauritania and lost 2-0 at home to Group B leaders Tunisia.
