2021 Afcon: Caf lists 64 match officials for tournament

The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has released a list of 64 match officials to take charge of the games at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

The list comprises center referees, Video Assistant Referees (VAR) and assistant referees.

Caf retained 24 referees from the 2019 Afcon, nine specialist VAR referees and 31 assistant referees drawn from across more than 20 countries.

There is a guest referee, Drew Fisher, from the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football, abbreviated as Concacaf. He is part of the VAR team.

The delayed 2021 Afcon will run from January 9 to February 6, 2021, in Cameron as 24 teams compete for the ultimate in the 33ed edition of the competition.
